2nd, 3rd day of SBE: Our first few classes XD

Delaqroux Inc Updates.

I want my life back.

Well, i do enjoy going for the SBE programme more than attending mass lectures. But going all the way to Kota Damansara just for some six hours of school observation (actually, it wasnt even six hours of observation- half of the session we spent hanging out in our SAL room), totally wore me out. I mean, seriously, woke up at 5 am and coming back at 4pm, slept for two hours to 6pm, at dinner at 8pm, do my assignments all the way til 11pm aaaaand... repeat stuff all over. Gosh... am i goin2 be stuck with this schedule once i actually start my career..?

That's gonna suck.

But on the second thought, there are some events on my second and third day of SBE that made me feel inspired to be a teacher all over again. Well, the first was observing Madam Aznizah's class of Form 4 Alpha. It was quite a cheerful class and at first, we thought that all we had to do is just sit at the back of the class and observe. But then, madam Aznizah totally opened the whole classroom for the four of us. In other words, we are free to mingle around the class and observe the classroom's layout or interview any of the students. That was something unexpected. But then, the cool part is that the students instead, interviewed us. It all started out with Reva (whom i suspected was drunk on coffee) who, without any hesitation, just stood up and start walking around the class. Guess she was the ice breaker. And then Shen-Ann followed. After awhile when Reva was entirely occupied with her own interviewing (yeah, the students ended up interviewing her instead... pfft.. typical) I saw a bunch of students sitting in the corner of the class and I started my interview session. Turned out that my interview of the small group of students become bigger and yeah, i actually had fun talking with the students. In the end, the whole class ended up talking with us and yeah, that was cool.

The second class that we observed wasnt really loaded up with interaction as they are basically just doing revision for the day. However, as we waited to attend our third class to observe, Madam Aznizah paid a visit into our SAL room (more to like a surprise visit actually- she caught me with the cane and i was poking reva with it.. ahem...) and she asked us to help out her two classes in their SAL activity.. So, in otjher words, its like taking over two classes at the same time and both of the class wasnt really top-notch disciplined classes as well...

So, i was like, DAYUMN!!

It was 3 Efficient and 3 Fluent (it's actually Fasih but i simply translate it to English XD). Surprisingly, 3 Efficient was more than esteemed to accept us and ask for our help on their activity. Of course, some of them were a litte naughty and slightly testing out capabilities but they are esteemed in learning (probably as we were observing them). 3 Fluent however, some of the students are a lil bit problematic and they are more interested in acting cool and hitting on Reva and SHen-Ann. And to think that they're just 15 years old- 4 years younger than me and i should have all the privilege of ****** them with a broom stick into their *******. sigh... if only i could, i would be very happy.

Happy me... wakaka.

Well, in all, it wasnt really that bad. We just ignored the problematic ones and focused more on the ones that really seem to enjoy learning (although they are still slightly hyper and just wouldnt sit down and finish their work). As a matter of fact, what strucked me was that; though these students arent quite advance in their learning compared to the upper classes, some of them actually tried to reply to us back in English language. So, in other words, as how much teachers in SMK S4 often regard them as being hopeless, maybe its just the teacher being slightly too pessimistic. Of course, i have just been here for three days and i'm not really keen with teaching's curves. but i do believe that school is not simply build on discipline, teaching and learning. Sometimes, i believe it does has a lot to do with having faith to one another- both teachers with the students and students with the teacher. Maybe i should do more observation on that...
