Portraying the right image of China?

Delaqroux Inc Updates.

Usually i dont make reviews on articles on the net that i have read but just a few seconds ago, i came across the news on the lip-synching singer during the opening of Beijing 2008 Olympics. Personally, i missed the opening ceremony (blame SBE for that) but i heard that there was an issue that the girl who sang the national anthem wasnt actually singing, but was actually lip-synching to another girl's voice. So what's the biggie on that?

Apparently, after i actually checked out more updates on the net, i found out that the lip-syncher, nine-year old Lin Miaoke was lip-synching to the voice of seven year old Yang Peiyi who was described in the MSN Live Today as "having uneven teeth and a chubby face" and "was replaced by the government's order because she did not present the right image of China". In addition to that, the vice president of the organizing commitee claimed that they see nothing wrong with replacing an original little girl who could sing well but not appearing as the 'right image of China', with a cuter girl for the country's reputation.

So, yeah, what the hell?

Right image of China? Hell, yeah, right...
