Delaqroux Inc 2008 Holidays Updates!

Delaqroux Inc 2008... wait.. i already mentioned that in the title..

In any case, i know that this blogpost came waaaay of course but i was promising to myself to promise my dearest fans out there a lil bit of touch on what I, your humble blogger of Delaqroux Inc, will answer your favourite question regarding what have I, your humble blogger of Delaqroux Inc, has been doing during the holidays so far. And yeah, as a little bit of side note; I was spending quite a long time in IPBA when everybody has long enrooted themselves to their comfy cushions at home. "What have i been doing in IPBA for so long?" Well, your answers lie within this blogpost. So, ladies and gentlemen, from SouthCarolina to Malaysia (wait.. what?), here comes Delaqroux Inc 2008 Holidaaaaaaaaaays Updaaaaaaaaaaaates!!!

NUMBER 001: TAKE YOUR TIME
For those who have been nothing but couch potatoes since last November should have known what "Take your time" stands for. For those who dont, well, it's the new catchline for OLDTOWN WHITE COFFEE (Yep, they just had their first advertistment on TV). Since the opening and discovery of Oldtown White Coffee outlet back in Bangsar South, I, Dark A. Delaqroux has officially declared it as one of my best lepak place in time of leisure. All you gotta do is just take a lil walk past the University Station from IPBA, find a nice comfy spot in Oldtown, and crash in with a glass of Ice Blended White Coffee (RM8.50- quite reasonable compared to Starbucks and CoffeeBean for something for a franchise's exclusive). Trust me. You'll get high on the white caffeine.

NUMBER 002: MAGIC THE GATHERING
Fine, fine.. I admit; i have joined the whole geek community of Magic the Gathering Trading Card Game (Shen-Ann, if you're reading this: who said you'll never see Magic Cards anymore the time you're in MacQuarie? :p) In any case, during the holidays, i have been spending quite some time in COMIC MART, Midvalley and MANAWERX, Millenium Square (Asia Jaya) with other Magic players (also called Gatherers) and trust me; if there's one thing beneficial about playing with a whole bunch of cards in a way that doesnt make much sense, is that; i've met a hell lots of nice people in just a short period of time (Adrian, Adrian, Elven Lady, Elven Lady's Boyfriend, Fahimi, Kenji, Nathaniel, Nicholas, Nurse, Ravellark Guy, Richard, Sheriff etc.). And because they're mostly into games and hobbies like these; i can tell that they're clean people- free from drugs, ciggarettes, social issues and they're all friendly people (you gotta be super humble when you're a n00b in Magic- so getting beaten shitless may feel slightly less painful) etc. Maybe the world would be a much better place if all guys learn how to love Magic then wrecking havoc all over the place.

NUMBER 003: REVISITING CITY OF OLDSKOOLNESS
If there's one thing that i look for when going for a long trips it's either cold high places, nice beaches, and hell lots of stops for food. In this case, MELAKA fills in the latter two requirements (Good enough for me). Since my last visit to Melaka back in... well... last June, i fell in love with the Jonker Street. Its in a heart of all the heritage sites, it's a home to almost all the food in Melaka and its home to one of the best duplicates of Petaling Street i have seen so far. And this year, my visit unfolds a fact that if you walk along the Melaka River (which also passes by Jonker Street), you'll end up with a kickass sunset view of Selat Melaka. So, here's all the highlights of Jonker Street in just one sentence. Daytime: Go sightseeing, lepak at Mahkota Parade or go hunting for nice food, Nightime: Go hunting for more nice food and walk around the happening Jonker Walk, PastMidnight: Go lepak by the river side, stroll around the empty streets of Melaka... or go hunt for nice food.

NUMBER 004: IT'S WINTER IN MALAYSIA?
Living in a place situated strategically close to the... uh... how do you say that in English again? Umm.. Garisan khatulistiwa, you might end up living your whole life without experiencing any cold sensation of winter. Of course, you may never get to feel the snow but feeling that maximum chill is still possible in GENTING HIGHLAND NIGHTWALK. Of course some of you will go like, "Cheri pa! Genting Highland where got cold lah, Joe". Well lemme correct your question. It should be; "Cheri pa! Genting Highland where got cold DURING THE DAY". Precisely, take my challenge, go to Genting highland, screw all the themeparks and indoor malls and friggin go lepak outdoors under the stars and in the cold furious winds from 12am to 6am till the sun comes out. Trust me; if you die of cold there... well... Cheri pa! So much for your Genting where got cold eh, Joe?

NUMBER 005: LIVE A HOBO'S LIFE IN ONE OF THE WORLD'S BEST AIRPORT
Due to a twist of misfortunate events, a particular Sarawakian missed his flight back to Miri (Read my previous blogpost "Lords of the KLIA: Fellowship of the Lost Sarawakian" for more in-depth report). So what do you, as friends do, pack up your bags of laptops and sweaters and live a night sleeping under the ceiling and on the cold frozen floors of KUALA LUMPUR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT up til the crack of dawn. I mean, there's not much of entertainment it seems here (except for the free WiFi) and the food here are slightly more expensive, but the experience of sleeping in KLIA is... well.. not that bad. Sleeping in a public place can be fun if you're actually doing it with friends :p

NUMBER 006: IPBA NIGHTWALK @ IPBA GHOSTBUSTING (?)
I rather call it with IPBA Nightwalk coz seriously, there isnt much of a ghost busting that can be done in IPBA especially when you're just having a wooden katana, a couple of black old record CDs and a duel BB gun instead of a Proton Cannon. In any case, if Malaysia never really have Halloween celebrations, well, we make one! All you gotta do is just wear your weirdest compilation of ridiculous clothings, equip yourself with all the combination of things that just doesnt make sense, and go for a mini parade all around the dormitory and college compound with a camera recording each and every one of your pointless move exactly at 3am (3am is supposed to be the peek hours where all the devils come out at night- thus, maybe that's where the term IPBA GHOSTBUSTIN comes from). Anyways, the sheer pointlessness of it is just purely exhilirating. Oh yeah, just try not to be seen. Trust me; you dont want to be seen.

NUMBER 007: OF BANGSAR AND CURFEW
For unexplainable reasons, breaking curfew and going to bangsar seems to be interlinked with one another. I mean, the best thing to do in a place bounded by something called curfew hours is definitely something to do with BREAKING THE CURFEW HOURS. (By breaking we mean going out past the curfew time which is supposed to be from 11pm to 6am). And, if there's something to be done that breaks the curfew, it always have to do with going to BANGSAR. I mean, there's like a linkage between these two actions. Check tis out: We came back after the Cohort 5 Annual Dinner but we feel like staying out to lepak; we decided to break the curfew and go to Bangsar.. We were staying up late chatting with one another and we felt hungry; we decided to break the curfew and go to Bangsar.. Me and adam came back from MidV and we dont feel like going back to dorm, we decided to break the curfew and go to Bangsar.. Me and Shogi decided to celebrate Adelynn's birthday but cafe was closed; we decided to break the curfew and go to Bangsar... See the never-ending link??

So yeah, that's all we.. I did (alone and together with some other people, of course) when i was alone in IPBA when most people have been lone gone for ther holidays. Of course, there are still the minor stuff we did that we thought might not need to be mentioned or highlighted. So where's number 8 to 10 you ask? Wel, i never said that this was countdown or whatever but i might be updating it with more stuff when i feel like it. Chao for now.
